About the Scholarship Fund
The scholarship fund is hosted by the Holstein Foundation, awarded by Holstein Association USA, and is supported by Select Sires. A selection committee organized by Select Sires Inc. will review the applications and select scholarship winners. The George Miller Memorial scholarship is awarded annually at National Holstein Convention.

The George Miller Memorial Scholarship is awarded in memory of George Miller, an icon of the Holstein breed, a pillar of Select Sires Inc., and a lifelong supporter of the Holstein Association USA and other breed organizations. He exhibited an unmatched passion for good cows and the breeders he worked beside. George took a special interest in youth, preparing the next generation for leadership. This scholarship honors his dedication, mentorship, and generosity, recognizing individuals who carry forward his spirit of giving back to the Holstein community.
Eligibility Criteria
Current National Holstein Association USA adult or junior member.
Current U.S. citizen enrolled full-time at a U.S. university as a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree.
Candidates must have dairy or agriculture related experiences and career aspirations.
Award Details
Interested youth are required to complete an application with information on academics, dairy industry involvement, community service, and more.
Individuals are eligible to receive this scholarship only once.
